Pip OT provides occupational therapy via Telehealth for children and adolescents aged 2–18 years.
Services include individualised therapy sessions, parent/carer consultations and education, assessment and reporting. Support is tailored to each child and family, with a focus on meaningful, everyday outcomes.
Where appropriate, collaboration occurs with carers, support workers, kindergartens, schools, and other allied health professionals to ensure support is consistent and well-aligned across environments.
Occupational therapists explore and identify the factors that may be impacting a person’s ability to participate in everyday tasks and activities. By working closely with children and their families, OT's support skill development and introduce strategies or adjustments that build confidence and promote independence over time.
Occupational therapy helps children with important tasks they need to do at home, school, and in the community. This can include self-care tasks (such as dressing and toileting), emotional regulation, organisation, attention and learning, play and social skills, and preparing for important transitions like starting Prep or high school.
Telehealth is a way of delivering occupational therapy sessions online, using secure video calls. It allows children and families to access support from the comfort of their own home, saving time and reducing travel-related costs.
For many children and their families, Telehealth can feel safer and more relaxed. Working in familiar spaces often supports engagement, regulation and real-life skill development, while also allowing therapy to be naturally embedded into everyday routines. Telehealth offers families greater flexibility and consistency of care, particularly for those living in regional or remote areas.
When delivered thoughtfully, evidence is continually showing that Telehealth therapy outcomes are easily comparable and as effective as in-person sessions.
If you think OT would be beneficial to your child or you have been referred for OT services, book a 'Welcome Call'. The welcome call is a brief conversation with Ashlie to explore your child’s needs, better understand what support could look like and determine availability.
Next, we’ll organise a time for your initial consultation — a one-hour session where you’ll meet with your therapist to talk in more detail through your child’s goals, development and concerns, and discuss what ongoing support might look like for your family.
Every child and family is different, and therapy is always tailored accordingly. The number and frequency of sessions will depend on your child’s needs and what feels right for your family at that time. At Pip OT, we prioritise regular check-ins and ongoing adjustments to ensure therapy remains aligned with your child’s goals.
A one-hour session with an occupational therapist is $193.99. Sessions may be funded through the NDIS, with rebates available via Medicare and private health insurance where applicable.
